Update on Trip to Sitemans

Yesterday we dropped the kids off at daycare and gymnastics daycamp and headed to St. Louis. It wasn't as crowded as usual and we got in by 10:00 and out by 3:30. I didn't have chemo, but I did have treatment and they made me take benedryl. I slept through the whole thing, most of the way home, and was useless once we got home.
My platelets are too low for the new chemo, which is a pill, so I'll have a cbc on Tuesday. If they go from 88 to 100 then I'll be able to take it. I guess you take it five days and then have three weeks off. They gave me three or four scrips for anti-nausea meds, so it must be pretty intense. Unfortunately, we'll be visiting relatives at that time, so once again, they'll get to see me feeling yucky.
I want to get to the farmers and flea market this morning before it gets too hot. Marty wants to take Eilish to a few statewide gymnastics meets that are in town. So, I'll sign off and leave a few pics: grandpa horsey back, tractor playland, Sedi trying to get some face time, and the city museum where the giant spirals are slides the kids could slide down.
Tomorrow I'm going to have lunch with some friends from my previous work. I may even have a beer!
Cheers and Good Health,
Christa

Christa, hope your feeling OK since your treatment.
I love your cat. I used to have one like him that I brought home from Virginia Beach, when my husband got out of the service there. He lived to be 13 and was a doll. When I'd call I need a kiss, he would come over and give me one, RIGHT ON THE MOUTH. It took a while to train him, but it was so precious.
