Desk and Earrings

ChristaandClan
I didn't leave the house today, not even for yoga. It was just too hot. In fact, besides splashing in the pool around noon, I didn't let the kids out to play until after 8 p.m. I'll have to get out some how tomorrow, preferably before 10 a.m. when the heat starts becoming unbearable.
Here is a picture of my new desk. Marty took all morning to put it together and ended up almost paralyzing himself and had to take ibuprofen and tylenol before going to work at 3:00 p.m.! Poor guy. I think he has alterior motives though. He had mentioned something about me day trading. Hmmm, does all it take is a new desk to qualify?
The next projects Marty has, besides mowing the lawn, is putting my diploma in a new frame my parents bought, and putting together a swivel "lazy susan" so I can work on a sculpture of Eilish at a table without a stand. He also has to put up some smoke detectors. Next week, we are going to work on painting and carpeting the stairs. No rest for the wicked! And believe me, he doesn't rest much!
After he gets off work around 11 p.m. I asked him to run to Walmart for Rowen's pull-ups, a roasting pan, and a compressor so he can keep the mower tires full (and because I had mentioned that I might want to get my air-brushes out and show the girls how to work them).
What have I done for him lately? Kept on the girls about keeping their room tidy, having them help clean our room, and cleaning the kitchen and dining room. Of course, we still have a compact mass of tubs filled with toys, paperwork, and laundry in the living room but, at least it's centralized.
Elora looks beautiful with her new earrings. She's doing a great job of taking care of them. It is much less traumatic than Eilish's experience. Siblings are so different.
Enjoy the pics, more to come once my parents CD gets here.
Cheers and Good Health,
Christa

Please tell Elora she's very beautiful with her new earrings.
Marty did a great job on the desk... it sure turned out to be a great looking piece of furniture.
Do you have all of your airbrush stuff? There are some boxes in the attic that I haven't gotten to yet... maybe I'll find your silverware while I'm at it.
Love ya,
Mom
Very cute Elora!
Sounds like you are keeping Marty busy.
Try and stay cool out there. It has finally started to cool off here (90 instead of 103!)
Talk to you later.
